While we offer some retail/commercial software, much of the software we sell is the "Academic Version"

What is the Academic Version? Academic Software is (*in most cases) the same identical software as the retail/commercial version and carries no restrictions (but is intended for nonprofit use only).  It receives the same technical support and upgrades from the manufacturer as the more expensive retail versions.  It is simply sold at a reduced price to assist qualified purchasers. *Occasionally Academic Software contains additional features intended to benefit  teachers and students for classroom use - check item desription.

Who qualifies for academic discounts? Each manufacturer may vary as to which groups they offer academically reduced price software.  To prevent any confusion, every item on our website lists the groups to which the academic price is offered.  (Please see invidual product descriptions for clarification.)   In general, the groups who may qualify for academic discounts include: Universities/colleges, students, and faculty members High Schools, students, and faculty members K-12 Schools, students, and faculty members K-12 homeschoolers Government - Federal, State, and Local governments and their employees. Libraries, Museums, Parks, Teaching Hospitals Non-profit Organizations with 501(c)(3) Churches and Religious Organizations Handicapped, disabled, or retired persons

Before shipping your softare (Box or ESD) order we'll need to receive documentation to verify your qualification for the academic discount.   Examples of Proof include but are not limited to: Universities, Colleges, Schools - Fully accredited, non-profit  - Orders accepted with official PO, letter from school, purchase with procurement card, etc. Students -  Copy of student ID or any document showing current enrollment, email from a student email account  Teacher - Currently teaching at a College, University, pre-College or K-12  Signed letter of employment, ID, check stub, etc.  email from faculty email account.   House of Worship, Minister or Representative - Non-profit with a separate house of worship or currently employed by a church or other religious institution - church PO or letter stating intended use of software    Government - government office purchase order, employee ID or any document showing current employment, email from government email account.   Non-profit Organization - copy of 501(c)(3) or letter/email stating intended use of software with non-profit organization information   Handicapped, disabled, or retired persons - letter or document (such as pension check, disability, or social security statement) showing status, proof of age, etc. If your situation does not fit specifically into these guidelines,  please email or call us with a description of your situation for special consideration.
